Hello everyone! It's the week after the campaign ended, and I wanted to share this handy graphic, designed by Chris Blanco, that backers can have a look at to keep up on fulfillment progress!
While the presentation is intended to be clearly understood and apparent as possible at a quick glance, there are a few things to note. The most important status is, naturally, "Finished!" Steps with this status are, well, done! Steps marked as "Almost done" are either in the very final stages of wrapping up, or if they're a physical reward, "Almost done" means the designs and artistic work is finished but they simply need to be ordered. For example, the sticker sheets and enamel pins are already fully designed, but won't be marked "Finished!" until the orders for them are safely arrived and verified.
I don't intend to update this on an annoyingly frequent basis for every granular bit of progress, but backers can expect to see updates about fulfillment at least once or twice a week, and of course as major milestones are hit.
Later this week, everyone will also be able to see the fully finished and scanned version of the new watercolor cover featuring Djura! I hope you all had a good weekend, and thanks for checking out this update!
When planning for fund L&B 1st Edition, Veit and I aimed for a funding goal that was as modest and approachable as we could manage. We truly had no idea what to expect for turnout or support, but that expectation was not only smashed within the first day, but we had to create new stretch goals and the goal ended up being more than tripled. You've all been incredible for backing and for sharing this campaign, and making the past month something really memorable and special.
So, what's next? First is payment and processing. Kickstarter's pledge collection is apparently very thorough, and gives backers the opportunity to solve any payment complications should they arise, so if something is off, please do your best to remedy it ASAP! Collection in total takes about two weeks, and once all of the pledges have been verified, backers with custom art and signature dedications will begin receiving surveys. The signature surveys WILL take priority since those are going to be printed inside the book. If you've pledged in a tier that includes a signature dedication, please be prepared to fill out the survey as soon as it arrives. Backers getting a signature dedication in the book will be able to choose the summon sign style of their signature (standard, warrior of sunlight, invader, etc), and will also be able to verify it personally. Backers will have about a month to submit and verify their signatures after the surveys are sent out, but the sooner everyone submits their signatures, the sooner 1st Edition can move onto printing! If you're a backer in the "Painted World" custom art tier, surveys and details for your character portrait will be sent out alongside the survey for the signature dedication.
Also, beginning next week we'll have a spiffy roadmap for fulfillment tracking! This chart will be a frequently updated graphic to show the progress for each major step of the reward fulfillment progress until L&B 1st Edition is delivered successfully to each of you!
One other detail to mention is that there will be a Backerkit store accepting pre-orders for L&B 1st Edition for a limited time. These pre-orders are priced higher than the pledge tiers in the Kickstarter campaign, and are mainly aimed at folks who missed out on the campaign. So if you've backed for L&B 1st Edition during the Kickstarter campaign, there's no reason to worry about anything related to Backerkit or "pre-orders," since those are for a totally separate audience.
As I've said a million times, thank you so much to everyone who supported and shared Lordran & Beyond. Not just for the folks who've backed this campaign, but the legacy Patreon supporters, the original followers on Tumblr, and the viewers who visited the website. I'm thankful beyond words for all your help.
Hey all! Just a simple update here as we reel in towards the finale of the campaign. The 1st Edition campaign ends 12 hours from now, at 10AM Pacific Standard Time. If you want to upgrade your pledge, or get add-ons for extra books or sticker sheets, this is the last chance to do so.
Once more, thank you all for turning out so strongly for this. I truly never imagined a result like this in even my wildest expectations, and it makes me SO excited for the prospect of other editions of Lordran & Beyond in the future. I've learned a lot from this campaign and intend to take everything from this month and apply it rigorously in the future.
